"silence ability" "silence an area" what these terms mean?

Hello!

New to the game ... I have read some discussions and I have seen some videos on the Web referring to game things like "silence ability" or "silence an area" ... what these mean?

Hi Roberto,

"silence ability" means the unit affected with a silence effect will not be able to cast any abilities until the silence effect is over. You can imagine a wizard who must be able to speak to cast spells : if he cannot speak (silenced), he cannot cast spells.

"silence an area" means you can affect several targets in an area with this silence effect and all those units in the area won't be able to cast spells.
