i am stuck on the x's and o's puzzle . please help me!

I'm also stuck there. I got the designs to match and nothing happened. I even tried using the leftover "\" tile to overlap on the third design once too, but nothing happened. On the last one when I matched it the door opened, since that didn't happen I also tried pushing the design toggling buttons in random orders, but that didn't work either. So, stuck or bug.

there are two different kinds of puzzles with those symbols:

1. You pull a lever and a row of symbols appear. you just have to move you characters on the symbols on the ground to recreate the symbols that are shown

2. there is a row of symbols with pressure plates below them and a lot of levers with symbols that you can pull. the principle is the same: you need to recreate the symbols. simply move one character on the pressure plate of the symbol you want to recreate and use another character to pull the necessary levers. do this for the other symbols and you are done.
